addressing key issues
Our network of programs and volunteers closely follows the issues affecting children and families in their communities. National CASA/GAL monitors nationwide trends and tracks pressing issues concerning children who have experienced abuse or neglect. We make sure CASA and GAL volunteers have what they need on the ground to serve America’s most vulnerable children and youth, including those targeted for sex trafficking, affected by the opioid crisis, living with incarcerated parents, and preparing to age out of the foster care system.
Preventing Child Sex Trafficking
As many as 4 out of 5 victims have spent time in foster care. Care and concern from a trusted figure can prevent a child’s exploitation.
Serving Victims of the Opioid Crisis
Tens of thousands of children are coming into foster care every year as a result of the opioid crisis. We make sure they don’t face it alone.
Fostering Futures for Older Youth
A thriving adulthood is within reach of every youth aging out of foster care. A caring, consistent adult can make all the difference.
Advocating for Children with Incarcerated Parents
Help us advance this important work today.
Having a caring adult advocate for their best interest can make a lasting difference for a child who’s been neglected or abused.
